We are grateful for your participation in the contest. You are helping us build a permanent home for these deserving creatures. We currently permanently house over 150 animals. With your help, we will never stop saving creatures in need.

How the Judging works:

Professional and Amateur images will be judged separately.

  • Round I: Finalists are selected - August 15 - 22
All digital submissions will be juried to select professional and amateur finalists.

  • Round II: Winners are selected
Finalists' prints will be on exhibition at the main entrance of Fabrica la Aurora, the art center of San Miguel de  Allende, Guanajuato, Mexico, August 30 - September 1.
All other entries can be exhibited.

Professional and Amateur "Best of [each] Category" and "Best of Show" will be named on the morning of August 30.

  • A "People's Choice" award will be awarded based on votes cast by exhibit visitors.

*Angelitos Sanctuario defines an Amateur as someone who has never received any regular income from their photography. If you have received income from your photography, even if you are currently retired from active sales, you must enter as a Professional.

Anyone who falsifies their status as pro or amateur will be disqualified from the competition and will surrender their entry fee.

Save Desperate, Sick, and Scared Animals

Animals in Mexico face cruel and inhumane treatment, including abandonment, neglect, torture, and overbreeding.

They are:

  • thrown out of moving cars along the highways,

  • tied to rooftops on short chains with no shelter and little or no food,

  • hit by cars and left to die slowly on the side of the road

  • trapped in inhumane conditions,

  • used for endless breeding.

Angelitos Sanctuario has saved over 2000 dogs in just four years.

100% of your entry fee goes directly to Angelitos Sanctuario to save animals.

Your donation is US tax deductible.
